I am finally starting to settle in in Jacksonville. The weather is beautiful, but I do miss wearing a jacket now and then. The trip was a little hard on my electronics. I had to replace my computer. Too many bumps on the way down I guess. Of course it was right before the new Windows 7 was released. I wasn't sure what to do. After a little research I went ahead with a Vista machine that included the Windows 7 upgrade. I would have liked to buy a Mac, but have too much software that only runs on Windows. I still have my Mac laptop though. Now I just need a new copy of Electric Quilt. Seems I left that box behind.
I am still in the process of setting up my sewing room. Many of my things remain in Erie, Pa, like most of my fabric. My sewing machine has been in the shop as well. Not for much longer though. I got the call today. A board was replaced and the machine is sewing better than it has in quite a while. I can't wait to get it back and get back to work. I've been doing a little hand sewing to pass the time.

Love your block. It would be great for a placemat for my daughter who loves ice cream. I have most of my shopping done for my kids' presents for Christmas. Still have a skating bake sale before I make Christmas goodies. Not feeling as rushed this year - perhaps I'm forgetting about something!! Thanks for the chance. I am almost ready for the holidays. I started sewing EARLY in the year. Right now I am working on a set of 4 memory quilts for a customer.
Definitely not ready for Christmas! I'm hard at work on an advent calendar. I hope I finish it in time!

She is expected on Christmas Day. I lived outside of Jacksonville for most of my life and loved it. I now live in Georgia. I hope you enjoy your time in Jacksonville.

You have a very entertaining blog. Love the info on the dogs and sewing and biking. My brother and family live in Jacksonville. I visited small but nice quilt shop there. My husband's family is also in Tallahassee and Pensacola. I love the moss hanging from the oaks and take pictures every time I go. Good luck with your move, hope you enjoy it! I love your block! My family is keeping it really cheap and easy for Christmas this year so I'm ready. I do plan on making some homemade cards within the next few weeks. I've always got several projects going on at once but the most current one is a Black & Bright quilt that just needs the borders to be done.

Somehow I don't think the quilt I've been working on for my son will be done by Christmas. I have a begillion ideas, but so little time. I was much more organized last year! Congratulations on being one of the best!
I am excitedfor Christmas only because I think the three year old is getting REALLY into it this year.
I dream of having a sewing room, so enjoy setting it up. My fabric islovingly stored in the laundry room (makes the chore more fun when I get to drool and oogle my fabric) and I sew in the living room.

Welcome to Florida. I have been here 7 years and I love it. I love ice cream with hot fudge sauce, but can't eat it often because I am diabetic, so maybe I should make some placemats to remind me of what I can't have.
Your Hot Fudge block is the best! Makes me smile just thinking of things to make with it. I'm busy making Christmas table runners, but not as close to finishing them as I'd like to be.
